2003? You say

Yep, it is the 2003 BOM I am doing. Got kidded about being behind. Actually, this is on a website I frequent and I loved it so decided to do it.

I have been out of town a lot lately so have not accomplished anything that has to do with quilting. Son has moved out and now I can get back into the room I use for sewing after doing some straightening up of things. I am going to be in and out of town a lot through the end of September so don't know how much I will get accomplished. I am working on some Christmas items for a swap and for a couple of fundraisers

I do miss sewing, but yet, things have been pretty busy.

I like the little florals I picked for this Block of the Month.

This catches me up to the photos I have right now. I do have one more that is finished, but no photo of at this time. My digital camera is in Europe with Andrew and I did not want to start a roll of film with just one or two photos on it so will take the last photo when my camera returns.

Nine Patch Nirvana July Block of the Month

The Nirvana Block is called "Discovery" I can't wait until this one is all ready to put together into a quilt!

Really, I can't wait until they are all finished and put into quilts.

July Dandy Doodle

The July Dandy Doodel block is "High Flying Square". I did not seem to be able to take this photo very well, it is crroked. Going to have to figure out to take the photos more square.

July Southwest Stars

The July block for this block of the month is called "Ara". This one used two shades of peach and two shades of blue.

June Southwest Stars Block

This is the June block for the Southwest Stars Block of the Month. This one is called "Libra." This one was the easiest of these blocks so far. I even like this one the best of the four so far.

More Debbie Mumm Blocks

Here are three more of the Debbie Mumm Blocks. I am all caught up on these blocks. These are fairly easy to make. The light green color has washed out a little on the Block 4 photo. Still playing with the camera. I discovered settings I did not know were there so need to play around with those.

Block Central's 2003 Block of the Month

I am doing the Block Central 2003 BOM called Traditional Block Sampler. I have finished one block so far.

Block 1 - Hayes Corner

This one looks like it is going to be fun to do too. Ah, heck, they are all fun to do, Each one is different in style, design, color and fabric choices. I do have fun looking at a pattern and deciding what colors, then taking what is in my head and find the right fabric in the store.

Not sure what all I will sew this next week. I do have a Summer Memoris Swap item to make and to get everything ready for mailing at the time it is to be mailed. I won't post here what it is as the members of Block Central look at this blog so I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Won't be able to post a photo til late July. Oh well, I will have fun with it even though I can't share it now.

This week I got the May and June Cinnamon Teen Blocks made. These are quite fun to make and are very easy to make.

Birthday Gift

A friend of mine, who is also a quilter, had her 60th birthday last week. As a surprise, I made this table topper for her. She really seemed to like it. I found fabric that had the squares with the Bible verses and I cut out some of the verses and put the green checked border around it and quilted it. It was fun to do.

Just stuff

I have not posted anything here is a long time. Have not done much quilting due to the fact I have been away a lot and that I lost "my" sewing room. I have used Daniel's room for my sewing room and since he moved home after graduation, I lost it for a while. I have finally set up something makeshift in the kitchen to work.

I have put together a table topper for a friend and I am finally binding the purple 9-patch. Will post a photo of the gift later as well as some neat fabric I got that Michelle really liked. Now to find a patter to use it in.

Almost Amish Stars is all Finished!

Almost Amish Stars is all finished. Remind me to never do a pieced border again. Gave it to my mother last night and she enjoyed it.
