A Quick Project

These are the fabrics for a quick project I am doing today. This will be for my grandson. The numbers are written in Spanish and French. My daughter is fluent in Spanish and German and I thought this would be fun for them.

Thought I Would Return to My Blog

I have not posted on my blog for 4 years now it looks like. That is a long time. I have been going to school for 2 1/2 years and not doing much, if any, sewing. I am cleaning up and organizing my sewing room. Today, I purchased a panel and fabric to make a quilt for my little grandson. I will post photos in a bit.

Being Absent

After having been absent from here a while, I am going to try to keep up to date on my projects. I need to take a photo of the completed 9-Patch Nirvana Quilt. I have been slowly working on the other BOM's that I have mentioned here earlier. I just completed the top of a quilt that I made for my niece who lives and works in Taiwan. I just sent it to be quilted so don't have a photo yet. Most of the fabric I purchased when in Taiwan in March of this year. I purchased about 50 yards of fabric for about $150. I have more of it to use.

I am also working on a fun orange and green pinwheel quilt for my daughter. I am almost finished with the top of a Yellow Brick Road one in pinks, greens, browns and off white for my niece's wedding gift. My 2008 Thimbleberries Club quilt will go to another niece for her wedding gift. Now, I need to come up with a pattern to do in 3 - 4 colors, mainly green for my daughter's wedding gift. All 3 are getting married summer 2009. Every time I think I have a pattern picked out, I look at it again and decided not to do that particular pattern for this quilt. I will come up with a pattern soon, I know I will.

Finished Cinnamon Teen

This is the finished Cinnamon Teen quilt. I donated it to a quilt auction for our church's district camp. It brought around $150, but I can't really remember how much it brought.

I have finished a couple of others of which I need to take some photos and post them here.

Christmas Gift Exchange

On Blockcentral, we had a gift exchange. Jacquie from Indiana had my name and I had her name. This was a random name draw so it was funny that we got each other!

The gifts, the fleese blanket is nice and warm on these cold days and nights.
A closeup of the accessories bag, tea and the neat fat quarters.

I haave not put my gift in the mail yet as it was not finished before I broke my wrist last week. I am planning on sending part this week and then the made by me item after the first of the year when I can sew again.
